Shinobi Prosthetic: Kuru-Kiru

A weapon I designed for the Prosthetic Art Challenge by VaatiVidya on Youtube.

A ranged device designed to swiftly close the distance between the target.
When launched, the adjoined fans create a whiplash effect, cutting consecutively which causes heavy bleeding.
The momentum caused by the steel fans affect the user, carrying them swiftly forward.
Utilizing this device, a shinobi can perform farther plunging takedowns.

Creating this project was really fun and also challenging, since I have never designed a weapon as mechanically complex and weird as this one. When coming up with the weapon idea, I thought of what weapons were already in the game, and what I could come up with that would differ gameplay-wise. With that in mind, I wanted to make a gap-closer which could also serve to attack, and add something to the stealth gameplay.
I came up with the basics of the weapon's functionality after sketching a bunch, and writing down ideas while also researching ancient weapons.
